If a Cherry Blossom tree can bloom in the midst of this Pandemic, so can I ...

Some seasons in our lives we may feel there is no way I am growing or moving forward . In reality sometimes even in a season where you are not moving at a fast pace , you can still be growing , even more that you realize .

The first week of the pandemic , I walked outside to change up the scenery and I looked up and seeing how beautiful not only the sky was but looking at this beautiful cherry blossom tree that was blooming even during this chaos ...If something this beautiful could grow even when disease was taking over our land and fear was like a black cloud and even all the noise from the news was so much death speaking over us there was LIFE growing right in front of me .. If this can grow then I know God thinks of me even more than this tree and wants me to grow beautiful in this season too ..

I'm finding in this season of THE PANDEMIC , that with everything stripped away from me , there is a quietness . At first my mind wanted to take over with panic and fear over the un known and what if's ... but after a few days I drew fear back in and started to practice exactly what I teach in my anxiety classes ... To focus on today and to not go into tomorrow because tomorrow would have enough troubles in its own and to actually start finding JOY in today ... and to start taking God's word over my circumstances.

This is where I truly started to enter in God's Rest .. I have heard of his Rest and felt it at times not fully understanding it ... But its during the trials that by trusting in God , having confidence all the way through the trials that his word says we will persevere through it and not only that we will mature which means growth !! We will not be the same after the trial and by continuing to trust in God is where you enter his Rest and rewarded in the end from not doubting in him ... No fear can stand up to this kind of Rest ..the power is in Jesus and this Rest is for everyone . Scripture says Come to me , all you who are weary and burdened , and I will give you rest , Take my yoke upon young learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will rest for your souls. For my yoke is light . Just in his word tells us several times to come to him and we will receive this rest . It's not like the world can give you , it truly is a rest that I can not describe . God has this Rest for all ....Even during a pandemic

God is a revealing God , that will continue to reveal his secrets to you as you seek him ..he will reveal to you like chapters in a book , but it is alive ..his word is spirit filled , each word is a breathe of God that you are taking in and like an arrow shot will never miss it's target and the target is our wrong thinking ... The word of God is double edged and will cut through all your fears and tear down strong holds that keep you in your own prison and the truth will actually set you free ... Did you know you can grow even in his Rest ... this means things can be removed from you that just don't belong there ..like wrong thinking and realign you back on track to what God has always designed you for ... Pretty exciting that our God loves us that much , that he will stop You in your tracks and give you Rest all the same while fixing everything around you and when you start walking again you are walking right into your purpose ...
